Correspondence
Letters written to be useful to the referring GP, not to fill a template.
Clinical impression, dermoscopic findings, planned procedure, and anticipated reconstruction. Sent before the procedure where there's a gap between consult and operation.
Procedure performed, anaesthetic used, technique, reconstruction method, wound care instructions, and follow-up plan.
Pathology forwarded with a short clinical comment and ongoing management plan — clearance, further excision, or MDT referral where indicated.
Final letter confirming discharge back to your care, with a summary suitable for the patient's primary record.
